Friso Janmaat
Managing Partner and founder of Capital A
Friso is Managing Partner and founder of Capital A investment partners, a Dutch midmarket Private Equity firm, which focusses on assisting entrepreneurs on their autonomous and (mainly) acquisitive growth strategy (Capital A has 35+ portfolio companies and does about 30 add-ons in its portfolio per year). Capital A has about EUR 1.5bn in assets under management and is active in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
Friso started his own company in online advertising management software in 1999, which he sold in 2004. During his career in corporate finance at ABN AMRO (2004-2010), he advised on numerous M&A, delisting transactions and IPOs in the Netherlands. Friso has always been active as a (listed and non-listed) private investor.
Friso holds a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Delft and a Masters degree from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam (Drs.Ir.). Friso played field hockey on a national level and for the Dutch National youth team.
